Style icon Neale Whitaker, top buyer's agent Simon Cohen, and interiors expert Julia Green have been confirmed as the judging panel for the groundbreaking renovation competition program My Reno Rules, coming to Seven and 7plus in 2026.
With a wealth of experience in lifestyle magazines and interior design, Neale is one of Australia's leading style authorities and has been a regular on Australian television for more than fifteen years.
A popular interior design expert and lifestyle commentator, Neale's candour and breadth of experience will set the tone for a new and dynamic judging line-up.
Known for his roles on The Block and Love It Or List It Australia, Neale's expertise stems from a successful publishing career that saw him helm Aussie style bibles Belle and Vogue Living for over a decade.
Commenting on joining My Reno Rules, Neale said: 'I'm thrilled to be joining a show that will truly redefine renovation TV. Along with Simon and Julia, I get to share my experience with a new generation of Aussie renovators in one of my favourite cities.
“I can’t wait to see the creative and innovative ideas our teams bring to the competition,” he added.
Joining Neale on the panel is Simon Cohen (Dream Home, Luxe Listings Sydney), a buyer’s agent and co-founder of Cohen Handler, the largest property buyer’s agency in Australia.
Known as the go-to buyer’s agent, Simon lives and breathes property. With his critical eye and innate knowledge of Australia's finest homes, Simon will guide the teams through their renovation plans to ensure their properties reach the height of style, elegance and technology.
Simon said: “I’m excited to be part of a show that’s redefining the renovation genre and transforming lives in the process.”
Rounding out the My Reno Rules panel is Julia Green, founder of Greenhouse Interiors, the #1 destination for boutique textiles, homewares, fine art and interior styling services.
As a regular contributor to leading Australian and international interiors and lifestyle publications, Julia has an eye for interior trends and a passion for unique treasures that will transform any home.
Julia said: “I’m thrilled to be part of a show that puts such a fresh spin on home renovation. I can’t wait to see the creativity, surprises, and heart our contestants will pour into bringing these incredible homes to life.”
My Reno Rules will raise the stakes and flip the script with two epic twists set to transform the lives of everyday Aussies.
Hosted by Dr Chris Brown, My Reno Rules sees four hardworking teams of Aussie battlers going head-to-head, breathing new life into two neighbouring rundown houses in a picturesque Melbourne suburb. Their mission? To transform these properties into breathtaking homes for the chance to win life-changing prize money to secure their own futures.
But it’s not just the contestants who walk away with the prize.
In a must-watch television event, the live grand final will see two lucky Australians receive a life-changing call telling them they’ve both won a spectacularly renovated, multi-million-dollar home – fully furnished, landscaped and equipped with state-of-the-art technology.
The live prize draw will be managed by principal program sponsor, Adrian Portelli of LMCT+.
My Reno Rules is a new format produced by Endemol Shine Australia (a Banijay Entertainment Company) and distributed internationally by Banijay Rights for the Seven Network. The life-changing series will screen on Seven and 7plus in 2026.
