Third Time’s The Charm! Laura Sharrad Wins MasterChef Australia: Back To Win 2025.

Laura Sharrad has been crowned the winner of MasterChef Australia: Back To Win 2025, taking home the $250,000 cash prize, and the title that she's dreamed of since she was 13 years old.

Having made it to the Grand Finale in both Season 6 and Season 12, but narrowly missing out on the top prize, Laura embodied the spirit of this season and was truly Back to Win.

Laura said: “Being part of MasterChef Australia has been life changing. It’s such a full circle moment to set myself a goal at such a young age and then finally achieve it after not giving up – it’s an incredible feeling.

“This season, I feel like I went back as a completely different person from the seasons before. And to win, having my parents, my husband Max, and my daughter Florence there, was a very special moment.”

With the finalists’ families and Season 17 alumni watching on, the Grand Finale comprised two rounds. The first saw Laura and fellow finalist Callum Hann cook with a series of classic flavour pairings, but in an unprecedented twist, both chefs received the same score from the judges in round one: 38 out of a total 40 points.

Heading into the second round, a pressure test set by renowned pastry chef Miko Aspiras, Laura and Callum had just four-and-a-half hours to recreate his Botanical Garden, a jaw-dropping bouquet of petits fours.

Laura's nearly identical replica of Miko’s Botanical Garden earned her 42 out of a possible 50 points in the second round, and a total of 80 points, scoring her the win by seven points. Finally, Laura was able to hold the trophy high and declare herself a MasterChef champion.

Laura said: “I think things happen at the right time and for the right reasons. Whether you’ve applied once or four times, or you don’t win and get the opportunity to come back, keep striving for that goal because MasterChef really does change your life.

“I think the more people who can experience that magic, the better the world will be.”

Big Brother Returns Home To Dreamworld. A Brand-New House, Back Where It All Began.

Direct from the diary room, it’s official: Australia’s original reality TV sensation, Big Brother, is back home on 10 and returning to its legendary Dreamworld setting on the Gold Coast.

The iconic social experiment that launched countless conversations, rivalries, friendships and of course, the bum dance, returns refreshed and ready to capture a whole new generation of fans while rekindling nostalgia for longtime viewers.

Expect high stakes, unexpected alliances, and classic and heartwarming moments as Big Brother once again opens the doors to the Dreamworld house, setting the stage for another unforgettable season in Australian television history.

Daniel Monaghan, SVP Content and Programming, Paramount Australia, said: “The demand for a reboot of the original format has been deafening, and we have listened. With a brand-new house built on familiar ground, this season will be centred on real people with real stories, talking in real time.”

Hosted by Mel Tracina – Cultural Correspondent for The Cheap Seats and National Radio Host on Nova – the long-awaited revival will be straight out of the noughties playbook, featuring live nominations, live evictions and live streaming.

Mel Tracina said: “The Big Brother house is synonymous with Dreamworld, so bringing the OG format to its OG location feels right. We’re excited to be home (and in a new house that hopefully comes with an air fryer).”

Big Brother is always watching, and this year audiences can too – across all screens and platforms – with episodes airing six nights a week and live streaming.

Amelia Fisk, Director of Content, Endemol Shine Australia said: “Big Brother revolutionised a reality TV movement over 24 years ago, creating some of the most memorable moments that have had a huge impact on the Australian public. We’re absolutely thrilled to be bringing the OG Big Brother back to 10 and to its home at Dreamworld in Queensland. The return of Big Brother is a testament to the power of this iconic super brand. Get ready for a summer of incredible human drama and unforgettable moments.”

Greg Yong, Dreamworld CEO, said: “We’re beyond thrilled to welcome Big Brother back home to Dreamworld. This iconic show holds a special place in our story and in the hearts of millions of Australians.

“When we heard Big Brother was returning to Network 10, there was only one place it could truly come home to: Dreamworld. This full-circle moment celebrates the legacy, nostalgia, and larger-than-life entertainment that have helped shape us into Australia’s most beloved theme park.

“We’re proud to be part of this exciting new chapter and look forward to sharing the magic of Big Brother’s return with fans across the country. Welcome home, Big Brother.”

Big Brother is supported by the Queensland Government through Screen Queensland’s Production Attraction Strategy.

Jacqui Feeney, Screen Queensland CEO, said: “Endemol Shine Australia’s Big Brother has been an important training ground for many local screen practitioners and this new iteration will employ 95 crew as well as supporting four paid attachment positions.

“They will have the opportunity to learn from industry experts in critical areas such as outside broadcasting, a skillset that will be in high demand as we head towards the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.”

Hosted by Dr Chris Brown, My Reno Rules sees four hardworking teams of Aussie battlers going head-to-head, breathing new life into two neighbouring rundown houses in a picturesque Melbourne suburb. Their mission? To transform these properties into breathtaking homes for the chance to win life-changing prize money to secure their own futures.

But it’s not just the contestants who walk away with the prize.

In a must-watch television event, the live grand final will see two lucky Australians receive a life-changing call telling them they’ve both won a spectacularly renovated, multi-million-dollar home – fully furnished, landscaped and equipped with state-of-the-art technology.

“These homes are in a beautiful area and have real potential. With the right teams and vision, they’re going to be incredible. I can’t wait to be part of a show granting lucky Aussies a brand-new future, and inspiring thousands more along the way.”
