FIVE-TIME GOLD LOGIE WINNER RAY MARTIN TO JOIN GRAHAM KENNEDY AND BERT NEWTON WITH AN AWARD NAMED IN HIS HONOUR

Nominees for the 65th TV WEEK Logie Awards were revealed this morning in the Yallamundi Rooms at the Sydney Opera House.

The seven nominees for the prestigious TV WEEK Gold Logie Award for Most Popular Personality on Australian Television are:

  • Host and journalist, Ally Langdon

  • Entertainer, broadcaster and comedian, Hamish Blake

  • Presenter and comedian, Julia Morris

  • Journalist and presenter, Lisa Millar

  • Actress, Lynne McGranger

  • Judge and co-host, Poh Ling Yeow

  • Entertainer and presenter, Sonia Kruger

The ultimate winner will be determined by public vote on Sunday 3 August at a ceremony held at The Star Sydney and broadcast live and exclusively on Seven and 7plus.

This morning the TV WEEK Logie Awards proudly announced that from this year, the Ray Martin Award for Most Popular News or Public Affairs Reporter will sit alongside the Graham Kennedy Award for Most Popular New Talent and the Bert Newton Award for Most Popular Presenter.

A veteran Australian television journalist and presenter whose career highlights include 60 Minutes, A Current Affair and Four Corners, Ray Martin has won five Gold Logies and a total of 14 Logie Awards across his illustrious career. Ray Martin is known for his in-depth interviews, investigative reporting, and engaging storytelling and his legacy has been built on his dedication to quality journalism and shaping Australian television's current affairs genre. Ray will proudly take to the stage to present the award named in his honour on Sunday 3 August.

TV WEEK Editorial Director Amber Giles said: “Looking at the list of nominations, it’s always thrilling to see the diverse range of Australian stories being told on our screens. It’s especially pleasing to see the breadth of original Australian content on both free-to-air and streaming services. If you see a show or star on the list that you’ve watched and enjoyed, then don’t be shy – get voting!”.

Minister for Jobs and Tourism Steve Kamper said, “I congratulate all the nominees of this year’s TV WEEK Logie Awards and can’t wait to see our sparkling Harbour City celebrated alongside Australia’s top TV talent. As the nation’s screen industry capital and home to its most dramatic filming locations, it is a privilege to roll out the red carpet for Australian television’s night of nights here in NSW.”

Voting will open for all awards from 9am AEST today and remain open until 7pm AEST Friday 1 August 2025, except for the Bert Newton Award for Most Popular Presenter, Graham Kennedy Award for Most Popular New Talent and the Ray Martin Award for Most Popular News or Public Affairs Reporter which will close 7:30pm AEST Sunday 3 August. Voting for the hotly contested TV WEEK Gold Logie Award for Most Popular Personality on Australian Television will close Sunday 3 August at 10:30pm AEST. Those watching at home will have the chance to help shape Australian television history, live on the night, with their vote for who should take out the evening’s big award. Fans can now vote for their favourites from the shortlisted nominees at tvweeklogies.com.au
