Peter has worked in the Australian, UK and US broadcast industries in both the independent production sector and for television networks. He has extensive experience across content development, production, strategy and commissioning.
Across his career Peter has devised, commissioned and produced programs that have won numerous domestic and international awards, such as: an International Emmy and Best of Rose at the Rose D’or for Go Back to Where You Came From, the SPAA Best Reality Production award for Masterchef Season 6 and the AACTA Best Documentary award for SAS: The Search for Warriors amongst others.
Peter is responsible for Endemol Shine’s unscripted slate. Since joining in 2012 he has overseen more than 60 series including MasterChef, Married At First Sight, Australian Survivor, Australian Ninja Warrior, Gogglebox, Ambulance and the current slate which include LEGO™ Masters for the Nine Network, Changing Rooms for Network 10 and Old People’s Home For Four Year Olds for the ABC.
Prior to joining Endemol Shine, Peter was Head of Production and Development for Australian broadcaster SBS where he managed the team of commissioning editors across all genres. He moved to Sydney from his native city of London in 2008. In the UK he worked in the independent production sector holding various positions that included Head of Development for prominent producer Outline Productions. He started his career at the BBC where he produced and directed across a broad range of content genre, from major live sporting events including The FIFA World Cup and The Olympics to blue chip documentaries such as Muhammad Ali’s biopic.
