The whole world will be watching when 14 of the greatest Survivor players to ever take on the world’s greatest game come together for the ultimate global battle in Survivor: Australia V The World. 

Seven of Australia’s best and most iconic players will go head-to-head with players from Survivor US, Québec, South Africa, New Zealand and Finland to claim the title of the world’s Sole Survivor and win a cash prize of a $250,000. 

In his final season at the helm, the formidable Jonathan LaPaglia returns to host the ultimate Survivor showdown featuring former winners, fan favourites, unforgettable villains and some of the greatest strategists to ever turn the game of Survivor on its head will clash in an unmissable brawl. 

From Australia, David Genat, George Mladenov, Janine Allis, Kirby Bentley, Luke Toki, Sarah Tilleke and Shonee Bowtell will take on Cirie Fields, Kass Bastarache, Lisa Holmes, Parvati Shallow, Rob Bentele, Tommi Manninen and Tony Vlachos.

Hear from AFL greats in the premiere documentary series on the Swans’ journey to break a 72-year Premiership drought

Shaking Down The Thunder, a four-part series premiering 10.00pm Wednesday on Seven and 7plus, takes an intimate look at the Sydney Swans’ journey to break the longest Premiership drought in AFL history, as they chase the 2005 flag.  

Under the guidance of new wave coach Paul Roos, the beleaguered “Bloods” adopted a new ethos of leadership, brotherhood, commitment and empowerment which resulted in a new brand of football, one that at times raised eyebrows with critics. 

Lead by a rotating group of captains including Barry Hall, and starring Michael O’Loughlin, Brett Kirk and young guns Adam Goodes, Jude Bolton and Leo Barry, the team would finally take to the hallowed turf at the MCG under blue skies for the AFL Grand Final against West Coast in front of 91,828 passionate fans. 

It was a moment of hope, elation and nervousness for a club steeped in tradition dating back to 1874 in South Melbourne. Could this team break a 72-year Premiership drought against a formidable West Coast featuring maestro Ben Cousins? 

Hear first hand from Goodes, O’Loughlin, Hall and a cast of former players, coaches, and members of the media how they overcame the odds to create history.

FIVE-TIME GOLD LOGIE WINNER RAY MARTIN TO JOIN GRAHAM KENNEDY AND BERT NEWTON WITH AN AWARD NAMED IN HIS HONOUR

Nominees for the 65th TV WEEK Logie Awards were revealed this morning in the Yallamundi Rooms at the Sydney Opera House.

The seven nominees for the prestigious TV WEEK Gold Logie Award for Most Popular Personality on Australian Television are:

• Host and journalist, Ally Langdon

• Entertainer, broadcaster and comedian, Hamish Blake

• Presenter and comedian, Julia Morris

• Journalist and presenter, Lisa Millar

• Actress, Lynne McGranger

• Judge and co-host, Poh Ling Yeow

• Entertainer and presenter, Sonia Kruger 

The ultimate winner will be determined by public vote on Sunday 3 August at a ceremony held at The Star Sydney and broadcast live and exclusively on Seven and 7plus.

This morning the TV WEEK Logie Awards proudly announced that from this year, the Ray Martin Award for Most Popular News or Public Affairs Reporter will sit alongside the Graham Kennedy Award for Most Popular New Talent and the Bert Newton Award for Most Popular Presenter.

A veteran Australian television journalist and presenter whose career highlights include 60 Minutes, A Current Affair and Four Corners, Ray Martin has won five Gold Logies and a total of 14 Logie Awards across his illustrious career. Ray Martin is known for his in-depth interviews, investigative reporting, and engaging storytelling and his legacy has been built on his dedication to quality journalism and shaping Australian television's current affairs genre. Ray will proudly take to the stage to present the award named in his honour on Sunday 3 August.

Voting for the hotly contested TV WEEK Gold Logie Award for Most Popular Personality on Australian Television will close Sunday 3 August at 10:30pm AEST. Those watching at home will have the chance to help shape Australian television history, live on the night, with their vote for who should take out the evening’s big award. Uniting the world’s most formidable creators, this season will see ten teams of two compete, with LEGO® powerhouses from six countries – Canada, China, Finland, Sweden, USA and New Zealand – clashing with four battle-hardened Australian teams in a spectacular series of awe-inspiring challenges.

Lending his signature humour and playful antics, Hamish Blake OAM returns to host while esteemed judge Ryan “Brickman” McNaught will continue to offer his brick wizardry to guide the competitors through the brick-built cosmos. The much-loved Sophie Monk will make special guest appearances in four episodes of the fiercest LEGO® season yet.

The twenty competitors, who include champions, finalists and favourites from their respective home grown series, will face challenges worthy of a world-class competition that will provide the most competitive season in LEGO® Masters history.

Expect magic, intrigue and suspense as their exceptional talents are pushed beyond their limits as they delve into the world of Harry Potter, attempt to make LEGO® fly and explore worlds of monsters and ancient civilisations - all culminating in the ultimate spectacle of the Grand Finale.

Known for their LEGO® bowtie and hairbow, Nick and Stacey are friends and competitors from LEGO® Masters USA. Using their complementary skills, they made history as the first Canadians to win the American series. Stacey is an actress, host and director and Nick is a streamer. Competing in LEGO® Masters Australia is a dream come true, and they are itching to add another title to their collection.

LEGO® Masters China Season 2 Runners-Up

Dai and Jiayuan captured China’s hearts with their seamless
teamwork and passion for building, and their collaborative spirit and mutual love for LEGO® made them fan favourites. Dai, the only female contestant in her series, is known for recreating famous portraits and Jiayuan was previously the LEGO® Master Model Builder at China’s first LEGO® Discovery Centre. Their mindset is that their creations should speak for themselves.

LEGO® Masters Finland Season 2 Winners

Quirky and dynamic winners of LEGO® Masters Finland, Oskari and Aura, are bringing their unique blend of creativity, chaos and charm to the competition. Their imaginative designs and united beliefs have resulted in a long-lasting friendship. By taking part in LEGO® Masters Australia they hope to prove that LEGO® is for having fun and pushing the boundaries of reality to new frontiers.

LEGO® Masters New Zealand Season 1 Runners-Up

Emily and Sarah are passionate LEGO® mums from New Zealand. As lifelong fans, their obsession with LEGO® grew after becoming mothers, leading them to compete in LEGO® Masters New Zealand. Together they have even run a LEGO® club at their children’s school. Using their combined drive and undeniable girl power, they know they have what it takes to win.

Competing together for the first time, Vidar and Albin are two larrikin best friends. Initially paired with other teammates, their bond formed during filming of LEGO® Masters Sweden and they have been inseparable ever since. Vidar is a creative powerhouse known for his stop-motion LEGO® animations on YouTube and Albin is a detailed technician. Look out, Australia: here come the Swedes!

Though they bicker like most siblings, Paul and Nealita’s strong family foundation is their secret weapon.
